What is the requirement to get paid from YouTube?
First, you need to have an Adsense account. You need to be able to receive payments from YouTube. You can do sign up for Adsense directly through your YouTube channel:
“To sign up
for an AdSense account through YouTube, follow the steps below:
Make sure your YouTube account is enabled for monetization.
Submit your application to create a new AdSense account to link to your YouTube channel.”
As a YouTube Partner, I am qualified to give advice on this matter. To be paid from YouTube you need a minimum of 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours in the previous 12 months.
Prior to this YouTube became rather lenient with allowing anyone to be a YouTube Partner. Earlier this year there was a purging of all YouTube partners who did not have the minimum 1,0
00 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours. This decision created quite an uproar.
Please understand your payment from advertising on your YouTube videos is extremely low. You are paid for thousands of views. This could be just a few dollars per thousand views.
Unless you get thousands and thousands of views per video you will not make much money. Your videos need to be extremely popular. You need to have a raving fan base. You need to have thousands of subscribers.
Here is my best advice for YouTube success. Once you get started making videos, there is a tool I recommend you get, Tube Buddy. There is a paid version and a free version. Start out with the free version for now. As your channel grows you can get the paid version. This will help boost your channel. There are many, many tools and features. I cannot recommend this great tool enough!
Tube Buddy Rocks! The best tool for anyone trying to grow their YouTube channel.
