The Beast from Inferno’s Wood Fire Pizza

The story about “the Beast”, the oven used to cook the pizza at Inferno’s is almost as interesting as the story of the pizza.

The Beast came from our old friends at Forno Bravo. This business supplies wood fired pizza oven world wide. The hhave a very active community, which includes, pizza and bread makers of all kinds.

The Beast was shipped over from the factory in pieces. The contents had to be carefull crated, due to the fragile nature of some of the parts.

Once unloaded at the docks, this pizza oven was taken to its final destination at Ward Center, Honolulu, Hawaii. The problem was that it was delivered to the gound level. The Beast needed to be assembled on the third floor.

The contents of the crate were opened and each pert of this wood fired oven had to be painstakingly carried up 3 flights and placed in the kitchen where it would be put together.

Now putting together a pizza oven from scratch is no small task. Them aste oven builder lived on The Big Island and had to fly over to help put the entire oven together.

This was no easy task, however, finally the task was completed. You can see the results in he following video.
